Madeline Kahn (Alice Gold) won the Tony Award and the Drama Desk and Outer Circle Awards for her role as Gorgeous Teitelbaum in the 1993 Broadway production of "The Sisters Rosenweig." She has also received three Tony award nominations for "On The Twentieth Century," "Born Yesterday," and "In the Boom Boom Room," winning the Drama Desk Award for this last production. In addition to her many Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theater credits, Kahn has appeared in films including "Paper Moon," "Blazing Saddles" (both of which brought her Academy-Award nominations), "What's Up, Doc?," "Young Frankenstein," "High Anxiety" and "History of the World Part I." Kahn won the People's Choice Award for the television series "Oh, Madeline" and earned an Emmy for her starring role in an award-winning ABC After-School Special.  Born in Boston, Kahn graduated from Hofstra on a drama scholarship and received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the Boston Conservatory.
